About Me
My name is Judy Stack. An island girl at heart, I was born and raised on the beautiful island of O’ahu. I was always drawn to the history and culture of the Hawaiian Islands and its people, a love that is solid in my foundation. During my childhood years, I was aware of being “different,” gifted with the ability to see and speak with those who have passed on. It was terrifying and created a tremendous amount of trauma for me.
It wasn’t until my adult years that I embraced the purpose for their communication with me. My husband was skeptical until he began to witness some of my experiences. I dove deep into my own spiritual healing when my father passed unexpectedly. My biggest lesson came when my oldest sister, Rosebella, was stricken with cancer. She was hospitalized, transferred to in-home hospice where my siblings and I provided care, and, before the end, she was moved to a hospice facility.
It was during this period when I learned about the mental illness with which she struggled throughout her life. She revealed her strength, vulnerability, and fear. She also demonstrated the ultimate act of forgiveness.
Rose taught me the true meaning of love, compassion, and empathy. Many experiences from the remaining months of my sister’s life brought such pain and trauma for me. Yet, these traumas are what catapulted me into seeking the different modalities for my own healing which, in turn, led to my offerings of healing for others. My journey led me through Reiki, Sound Healing, Yoga Teacher Training, and Breathwork but, with so much to learn, my journey is on-going.
“Judy” is a name given to me by my parents, but who am I? When you peel back all our life experiences, all our pain, trauma and suffering, and all the stories created along our own journey, what do we have when all is stripped away? Who am I? I am Light. I am the Peace within my Light.
Dela, a portion of my name, is representative of the family with whom I am deeply rooted. Mana, meaning spiritual divine and strength in the Hawaiian language, is the spiritual energy and universal life force behind all animating energy in our lives. The word Mana came to me when touring a hospice facility for my sister. The work I do today is in honor of my sister, Rose, finally resting in love and peace. From her loss, Dela Mana Wellness was born.
“The wound is the place where the Light enters you.”
