Aloha kākou!
Greetings to everyone and welcome to Dela Mana Wellness.
Where Healing Begins
The place for healing starts and ends within each one of us. Managing daily stress from work, family, and just daily life is a requirement to help our mind and body stay connected and healthy and our nervous system regulated. Stress and trauma, when not regulated, can have a negative impact resulting in poor health and illness.
Thankfully, we have many options to help ourselves such as exercise, healthy diet, therapy, and meditation, just to name a few. Exploring and utilizing the different modalities is vital to our own health and wellness.
No matter what challenges we encounter, whether pebble or boulder, we have the power to decide the quality of our final breaths. In the very moment of crisis, we can decide how we will react, how the next five minutes will be for us following the impact of crisis, the next ten minutes, the next thirty minutes, and so forth. Too often, people react negatively in the heat of the moment, and the spiral of the crisis is set in motion, but it doesn’t need to be this way. Building a daily practice of nurturing our body, mind, and life-force energy can help us to think clearly when challenges occur. The key is committing to a daily practice.
We have the tools to shift our mindset from being in a toxic situation to a state of mind where we can make choices that enhance our life and keep us on the right path.
We follow a maintenance schedule for our vehicles. We maintain our clothing by keeping them clean, too. We also maintain our homes with any upkeep and repairs. The place for healing starts and ends within each one of us. It’s time for you to take care of you. Honor yourself by following your own maintenance plan. “You” deserve it. “You” are worth it.
“The soul always knows what to do to heal itself. The challenge is to silence the mind.”
